Daxiang Biotech participated in the 2026 International MPS Society Asia-Pacific Summit & 9th Organoid and Organ-on-a-Chip Conference, held in Nanjing from September 21–24, 2026.
Bringing together researchers, technology developers, and industry representatives from across the microphysiological systems community, the meeting provided a platform for discussion around organoids, organ-on-chip technologies, AI, automation, and the broader development of human-relevant models for drug discovery and translational research.

At Booth 16, Daxiang Biotech presented its work across the IBAC® organoid-on-chip platform, Oukoryn™ intelligent instrumentation, human-relevant organ and disease models, and integrated research solutions.
Discussions at the booth extended beyond individual products and focused on a broader question increasingly relevant to the field: how can organoid and MPS technologies be incorporated into more standardized, reproducible, and scalable experimental workflows?
Key areas of discussion included dynamic culture, multicellular and tissue-interface modeling, imaging and analysis, automation, and data generation. These capabilities are becoming increasingly important as organoid and organ-on-chip systems move from individual research applications toward more integrated use in drug discovery and translational studies.
During the meeting, Dr. Xiaoni Ai, Co-Founder and CSO of Daxiang Biotech and Associate Professor at Peking University, delivered an invited presentation titled:
“AI + Organoid-on-Chip: Reshaping a New Paradigm for Drug Discovery.”
The presentation explored how AI and organoid-on-chip technologies can complement each other in the drug development process. AI can help identify and prioritize candidates, while human-relevant experimental models can provide biological data for validation, feedback, and further optimization.
This convergence creates opportunities to build more integrated research workflows in which computational prediction and experimental validation inform one another more effectively.
One recurring theme throughout iMPSS 2026 was the importance of moving beyond model complexity alone.
For human-relevant models to contribute more broadly to drug development, biological relevance must be accompanied by reproducibility, standardization, compatibility with analytical technologies, and the ability to scale.
Daxiang Biotech is continuing to develop its platform around this direction by combining organoid-on-chip technologies with intelligent instrumentation, automation, and data-driven approaches.
Through its IBAC® platform and Oukoryn™ instrumentation, Daxiang aims to support research workflows spanning model construction, dynamic culture, imaging, analysis, and data generation across applications including disease modeling, efficacy evaluation, safety assessment, ADME/Tox studies, and translational research.
Over four days in Nanjing, the Daxiang team exchanged perspectives with researchers, industry colleagues, and partners from across the MPS community.
The discussions reinforced a broader shift within the field: the next stage of microphysiological systems development will depend not only on increasingly sophisticated biological models, but also on how effectively these models can be standardized, integrated, and used to generate decision-relevant evidence.
Daxiang Biotech looks forward to continuing these conversations and supporting the wider adoption of human-relevant experimental approaches in drug discovery and translational research.
