Combining Complementary Technologies

The collaboration builds on a relationship established in 2023 and reflects a shared interest in advancing organoid research through complementary technological capabilities.

Daxiang Biotech brings expertise in organoid and organoid-on-a-chip technologies, supported by its proprietary IBAC® chip platforms and Oakuloid™ AI-powered drug modeling platform.

Molecular Devices contributes capabilities in automated cell culture, high-content imaging, and intelligent analytical technologies. Its CellXpress.ai® Automated Cell Culture System integrates automated cell handling, culture monitoring, imaging, and machine learning-assisted decision-making to support standardized and scalable 2D and 3D cell culture workflows, including organoid applications.

By connecting these capabilities, the two companies aim to explore integrated workflows spanning organoid model construction, automated culture and imaging, and AI-powered data analysis.

Advancing Research and Translational Applications

Through the joint innovation R&D center and translational platform, the two organizations plan to explore collaboration in several areas:

  • Application Method Development: Developing and optimizing experimental methods and standardized protocols for organoid and organoid-on-a-chip applications.

  • Technology Demonstration and Training: Supporting demonstration testing, technical exchanges, and training for pharmaceutical companies and research institutions.

  • Joint Application Validation: Exploring applications in drug discovery, disease modeling, regenerative medicine, and other areas of biomedical research.

  • Scientific and Industry Engagement: Promoting knowledge exchange through technical presentations, academic collaboration, and industry education.

The collaboration aims to connect advanced biological models with automated experimentation and intelligent analytical technologies, supporting the development of more standardized, efficient, and application-oriented research workflows.

Looking Ahead

As organoid technologies continue to evolve, collaboration across biological modeling, automation, imaging, and AI-driven analysis will be increasingly important in advancing human-relevant research.

Building on their established relationship, Daxiang Biotech and Molecular Devices look forward to exploring further opportunities for scientific and technological collaboration and supporting the broader application of organoid-based models in biomedical research and drug development.

Together, advancing the next generation of human-relevant research.
